Engineer-In-Training (Civil)

We are seeking Engineers-In-Training (EITs) to work with our engineering team on transportation projects in our Dallas office for our private and public clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare roadway and highway improvement plans under the supervision of a Professional Engineer
  • Use Microstation CADD environment for design and drawing production
  • Prepare exhibits, calculations, details, quantities, reports, spreadsheets, specifications, memoranda, and other documentation
  • Use other engineering software to aid in design and analyses
  • Coordinate and participate in design meetings/calls with project team to fully understand project expectations
  • Work under the direction of multiple project managers and engineers
  • Other assigned projects, tasks, and duties

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Engineer-In-Training Certification or ability to obtain within one-year.
  • Zero (0) to five (5) years of working experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Microstation and Geopak experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team of professionals.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written).
  • Schedule driven.
  • Willing to learn.

 

Traffic Engineer

We are seeking a Traffic Engineer to work with our engineering team on transportation projects in our Dallas office for our private and public clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare traffic impact analyses
  • Conduct traffic signal warrants
  • Analyze intersection and interchange operations using HCS, SYNCHRO, and VISSIM
  • Prepare Plan, Specification and Estimate (PS&E) plans including design of traffic signals, signing and pavement marking, and roadway illumination
  • Work with and supervise Engineers in Training and CADD professionals
  • Produce drawing layouts, details, and engineering design using MicroStation and Geopak
  • Completing and documenting standard calculations necessary for civil engineering plans
  • Participate in design meetings with engineering staff to fully understand project expectations
  • Work under the direction of multiple project managers
  • Quality reviews for completeness and accuracy
  • Other projects, tasks, and duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering License in Texas. PTOE is a plus.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of working experience.
  • Proficient in MicroStation V8i and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Geopak experience is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of HCM, HCS, and SYNCHRO
  • Experience producing TxDOT or City/County Schematics and Plans, Specifications, and Estimates for Roadway and Signal projects is required.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team of professionals.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong management and technical skills.
  • Schedule driven.

Senior CADD Technician

Description and Responsibilities:

  • Produce drawing layouts, details, sketches, and graphic representations of engineering design using MicroStation and Geopak.
  • Completing and documenting standard calculations necessary for civil engineering plans.
  • Participating in design meetings with engineering staff to fully understand project expectations.
  • Working under the direction of multiple engineers, project managers, and support staff.
  • Working with CADD and file management standards and assisting with improvements to standards.
  • Quality reviews for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting to engineers.
  • Other projects, tasks, and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree (or equivalent) in Computer Aided Design and Drafting or Civil Engineering Technology is preferred.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of working experience as a CADD technician.
  • Proficient in MicroStation V8i and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Geopak experience is a plus.
  • Experience producing TxDOT Schematics and Plans, Specifications, and Estimates for Roadway, Signal, and Bridge projects is required.
  • Experience producing Municipal Roadway Plans is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team of professionals.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written).
  • Schedule driven.
